THINGS THAT SHOULD'T WORK

Welcome to My Corner of the Internet

Hey, I'm Aryan.

If you somehow ended up here, welcome.

This blog exists because I ask way too many questions.

Questions like:

  • How can a website exist without a server?

  • How does the Dark Web actually work?

  • Why can two computers behind CGNAT still talk to each other?

  • Could you build your own internet?

  • Why does half the internet break when one company goes down?

  • How do apps like AnyDesk magically connect through firewalls?

  • Can something on the internet become impossible to shut down?

Most of the time, these questions start with me saying:

"Wait... that shouldn't be possible."

Then I disappear for hours. Or days.

I end up reading documentation nobody reads, digging through GitHub repos, old forum posts from 2012, random Reddit threads, research papers, and sometimes even source code just to understand one tiny thing.

Sometimes I find the answer.

Sometimes I get even more confused.

Honestly, that's the fun part.

So what is this blog about?

This is basically my notebook of internet rabbit holes.

You'll find things like:

Basically, if a topic makes me open twenty browser tabs at 2 AM and say:

"Okay, now I NEED to know how this works."

…it'll probably end up here.

What you can expect

Not another "Top 10 Cybersecurity Tools" article.

Not another "What is AI?" post.

Instead, things like:

  • I tried hosting a website without a server.

  • I spent a week learning how the Dark Web was built.

  • How can a website exist without a public IP?

  • Can you make a VPN without owning a public IP?

  • Why is the internet surprisingly fragile?

  • Could you build your own remote desktop software?

  • Can something online become impossible to delete?

Some posts will be tutorials.

Some will be experiments.

Some will simply be me going down a weird rabbit hole and bringing back everything I learned.

One thing though...

I'm not here pretending to be the smartest person in the room.

I'm just curious.

I like taking complicated things apart to see how they work.

Sometimes I'll be right.

Sometimes I'll completely break something.

Sometimes I'll change my mind halfway through an article because I found something new.

And honestly, I think that's a better way to learn than pretending to know everything.

So if you're curious too...

Stick around.

Question things.

Open too many tabs.

Fall into weird internet rabbit holes with me.

And maybe we'll figure out together how this giant, messy thing called the internet actually works.

See you in the next rabbit hole.
